Request for Proposals - CanAdvance Growing Capacity Initiative (GCI)

As a catalyst for adaptation, advancement and innovation within the agriculture and agri-food community, the Agricultural Adaptation Council (AAC) has notionally allocated $4 million to the CanAdvance Growing Capacity Initiative (GCI). These funds are administered through Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada’s (AAFC) Advancing Canadian Agriculture and Agri-Food (ACAAF) Program. The AAC has issued this Request for Proposals (RFP) to solicit project proposals for funding consideration under the GCI Program.

Timelines:

  • Request for Proposals Issued - March 4, 2008
  • Proposal Submission Deadline - April 15, 2008 @ 4:30 p.m.
  • Anticipated Board Review - May 29, 2008

The AAC Board of Directors will review all applications and make decisions on approvals, terms, conditions, and levels of funding. Funding decisions are based on the merits of the proposals and the needs of the industry. All decisions, on the degree to which a proposal meets the requirements of this RFP, are the sole judgment of the AAC in consultation with its advisors.

Proposal Submission:

One (1) signed original should be delivered in a sealed package no later than 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15, 2008. An electronic copy in Word (Application) and Excel (Milestones and Budget) formats should also be forwarded to info@adaptcouncil.org. (Please do not send PDF versions). To be considered a valid proposal, the documents must be completed and signed by an authorized official of the organization submitting the proposal. Please address the package to:

Any proposal that is received by the Agricultural Adaptation Council after the closing date and time will be rejected and returned unopened. It is the applicant’s responsibility to deliver their proposal to the designated location by the stated date.
