The Canada-Ontario Research and Development (CORD) Program was a research
and development program for non-supply managed farm groups. Through the
Agricultural Policy Framework (APF), the federal and provincial
governments agreed to provide “wedge funding” for the province’s
companion program. The CORD-P is one program under the companion fund.
CORD-P IV was a $35 million program that was launched in 2005 and ended
in March, 2008.
The goal of CORD-P was to improve industry competitiveness and increase
diversity and self-reliance through applied research and development.
Since 1996, the CORD-P funding has been administered by the Agricultural
Adaptation Council (AAC) on behalf of the Ontario Agricultural Commodity
Council.
This program is now closed.
Detailed information about completed projects is available by contacting
the Agricultural Adaptation Council.
